Julia Robb is the Corporate Business Manager of West Virginia University Innovation Corporation. She is responsible for day-to-day operations in Human Resources, Payroll, Procurement, Banking, Accounting and Finance.
In her previous position with the WVU Department of Finance, Julia: performed financial analysis, reporting, forecasting and budgeting; served as the project leader for the spend analytics system implementation and departmental restructuring initiatives; coordinated the financial reporting risk assessment; and assisted departments with the documentation and implementation of internal controls, business process redesign and financial process automation.
Before coming to WVU, Julia audited health care and financial services clients with Ernst & Young, LLP in Pittsburgh. She also worked at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in a number of roles including Senior Financial Analyst at Presbyterian Shadyside Hospitals, Manager of UPMC Corporate Accounting, Manager of Accounting and Finance at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, and Manger of Sarbanes Oxley Compliance.
Julia is originally from Lumberport, W.Va. She obtained degrees in Accounting and Finance from WVU and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. She is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Julia’s community service includes volunteer work with Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and the Valley Ridge Farm Inc. youth equestrian program.
